Hanuman Garhi
Hanuman Garhi, also called Hanumangadi, is a famous 10th-century temple located on a hilltop in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, who is believed to have lived here to protect Ramkot (Lord Rama’s birthplace).
The temple looks like a fortress, with four ramparts and bastions. Devotees climb 76 steps to reach the sanctum. Inside, there is a small idol of Bal Hanuman sitting on Mother Anjani’s lap, decorated with silver carvings and garlands.
It is said that every pilgrim should first visit Hanuman Garhi before Ram Mandir. The temple is especially vibrant during Hanuman Jayanti, Ram Navami, Diwali, and Dussehra. Entry is free, and it remains open daily from early morning till late evening.
Kanak Bhawan
